Our Level 1 content is designed for absolute beginners.  We have had children and octogenarians  (80 year olds) successfully enjoy and complete our courses.  If you don't know any Xhosa or are are mostly starting should def start at Level 1. If it is too basic for you, just move to the assessment for that level and then to the next level..

We currently have 5 levels of Xhosa courses and an open level of fun content including movies, songs, rugby commentary, etc. So unless you are fully fluent, there is always something you can learn, or revise.

We have many people join our courses who have studied Xhosa before, and they all say they found our courses and materials the most practical and well structured.  

So they often get benefit from starting at Level 1 and even if they move quickly, they find foundational elements vey empowering.

You can always look at the assessment for a level to see if you are ready for it, or the one before!  

Each level has summaries and assessments that show what you should know, understand and be able to use before moving on to the next level.

As a Standard member you get priority support of the scheduled weekly community calls, and you can post questions in the comments boxes as well as via our Q&A Buza Makhosi form, to which we respond during weekly sessions, which are recorded and shared.

We also have a whatsapp chat group for community support. There are also forums connecting to other students to get yourself a study buddy for extra motivation and accountability.

There are currently three envisioned forms of facilitated sessions:

1. COMMUNITY COACHING SESSIONS:

These are announced to community members and are currently monthly, moving to weekly as we grow the community.

These are often between 4 - 8pm SAST, but coaching options are more flexible. 

2. ONLINE COURSE SEMESTERS:

We routinely offer facilitated courses during four terms or semesters of 8 weeks, for which members get discounted access if they wish to have a focussed push to get through a specific course.

Term date periods:

1. Mid Jan - mid March
2. Early April - early June
3. Late July / Early Aug - mid September
4. Early October - early December

3. COACHING OPTIONS:

These are available all year, based on the available teacher's schedule, and can be signed up for anytime when available.

These have discounted prices for members.  Announcements will be made based on teacher availability.

Yes, for sure!  Anytime you want. Just inform us at least 7 days before the next billing cycle and we will downgrade you or cancel your membership, with no questions asked.

The year long once-off purchase does not renew automatically, but you will be invited to continue for the following year at a special member rate.
